So today was “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” Day at Taco Bell.  You see, if there was a stolen base in the World Series, today, you could get a free taco.  Mookie Betts of the Red Sox stole second base in Game 1.  All the universe cheered, all the universe was going to eat a free taco.

So today at 2:15 PM, we took a break at work and got our free taco.  On the way, I was mentioning that I should thank Mr. Mookie Betts for my taco treat.  My friend Alex suggested that I use the idea for blog fodder.  Excellent idea!

You see, the closet that I have come to celebrity interaction on my blog was the idea that in a multiverse (a cosmos with an infinite number of universes), there must be one where Scarlett Johansson is a big fan of Cookies by Dave.  It must be true.  By talking about World Series champ and leading MVP candidate, I would be able to thank Mr. Betta for my taco, while also leaving Ms. Johansson alone.  Win, win, especially in Scarlett Johansson’s book.

So folks, something to look forward to other than next year’s free taco, the occasional series “Mookie and Me” appearing exclusively on Cookies by Dave.

So Mookie (I like typing the name Mookie almost as much as I liked his .346 regular season batting average), thank you for the taco.

Taco Bell, thank you, as well.  That certainly was a tasty taco!
