One benefit of visiting new churches is sampling new refreshment hour cookies. The other week, we visited a church with these goodies… white chocolate coated gingersnaps.
Well, challenge accepted. I ended up taking my old reliable molasses cookie recipe (found on page 33 of my cookie cookbook, “Today is a Great Day for a Cookie,” which as always is available for free download at www.CookiesbyDave.com) and dipped half in some vanilla candy coating.
My favorite brand of candy coating is CandiQuik (horrible spelling, but fantastically easy to prepare).
Let the vanilla chocolate set on wax paper and there you have it, cookie innovation. Soft molasses with a delicious white chocolate hug. From refreshment hour to Internet immortality, now that’s cookie goodness.
