OATMEAL KISSES

“When you come home from work to find out that your son made a new cookie recipe on his snow day (i.e. cold weather day), that’s enough to warm your heart (and forgive me for this super long run-on sentence). Enjoy!”

1 cup Butter

1/2 cup Sugar

1/2 cup Brown Sugar

2 Eggs

1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

2 cups Flour

1/2 teaspoon Salt

1 teaspoon Cinnamon

3 cups Quick Cooking Oats

40 Hershey’s Kisses

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream the butter, sugar, and brown sugar.

Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract.

Mix in the flour, salt, and cinnamon.

Stir in the oats.

Drop Tablespoon sized balls of dough onto parchment paper lined baking sheets.

Bake for 8 minutes.

Remove from oven, gently press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.

Bake for an additional 5 minutes

Remove from oven and let the cookies rest for 5 minutes on the baking sheet, before moving each cookie onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Makes 40 cookies.
