You know that spring is here, when my 11-year-old son Jacob has his socks take up residence by his baseball glove and fresh cut flowers.

For the time being, I will ignore the fact that they are also resting on the dining room table.  I will ignore it, because spring is in the air and only happy thoughts are welcome.
